An Artist's Life - Writers and Artists event

Award-winning illustrator, author and animator Yasmeen Ismail will be sharing her insight into the artist's life. She'll discuss taking your creativity seriously (this is a real job, really), managing imposter syndrome and keeping going through moments of doubt and insecurity. Yasmeen will also offer tips for using social media in a way that supports your practise but doesn't steal your time, as well as sharing her advice on how to create the best conditions for your best work (including being kind to yourself and standing in the garden when you need to).

She'll also share her own career journey to date, and offer tips for getting your work seen, taking the next step in your career and making a living out of your art.

The session will end with a brief Q&A, so come ready with your questions.

The masterclass will take place online via Teams. It will also be recorded so if you are unable to attend live, you'll be able to catch-up and access the recording for up to two weeks after the event has taken place.
